People hate brussel sprouts.  Or they think they do.  But they are on sale in the spring, so here is my favorite brussel sprout recipe, and  it’s pretty tasty.

Sauteed Brussel Sprouts with cranberries

1lb of brussel sprouts chopped into bite size pieces like halves of thirds(or some other amount, I don’t care)

1 Tablespoon of oil, or 2 Tablespoons if you really don’t like eating healthy things like vegetables(I used safflower oil)

2 Tablespoons of soy sauce(because sodium is delicious)

1/4 cup dried cranberries

Chop the brussels, or buy them pre-chopped if you’re short on time.  Trader Joe’s sells a bag of shredded brussels that make it pretty easy.  Put the oil in the frying pan and heat.  Once the oil is hot, throw the brussels in and saute until they are bright green and tender.  Then add the soy sauce and saute and little more until some of them look a little crispy and browned.  Then toss in the cranberries and stir them in for about 30 seconds.  Remove from heat and serve.

And if you’re feeling silly around Easter, I saw a picture on Pinterest of Peep Pikachus and had to make some for my brother, who was an avid Pokemon fan back in the day.  Pinterest suggested using food markers, but they were expensive, so I just used some of this little gel icing things to draw the Pikachu face.
